In second place was Alan Price with a score of 471.9. Hot on hisheels in 3rd place was Phillip Angilley at 470.1. As the winner, Walter will have his name engraved on the SFR Trophy which stays on display at the club.
Results from our September – December monthly shoots will be printed in the next Kurier.
A big thank you goes out to everyone who helped out at the “electronic rifle range” during Eurofest and Austrian National Day. Our club has gained a few new members from the Eurofest weekend. A very special thank you to John Innes, who lent us the use of his Scatt Machine and set it up for us.
Don’t forget our Club Championship on 15th November starting at 7:30pm!
This competition is open to all members. The winner will have their name engraved on the Club Championship Trophy.
The 13th December is our Fun Shoot night, which promises to be a night not to be missed. This is always an enjoyable night. Our members use old air rifles which have tough triggers to pull (sometimes 2 fingers are required) and they don’t have scopes on them, so the accuracy of shooting can be very interesting at times. As always, refreshments will be provided on the night so remember not to have dinner before you arrive. The last club shoot for 2011 will be on the 20th December. This is the final chance to practice before the 2011 National Championship which will be held in the 4th-5th January 2012.
Please see John Innes, our Club Captain if you wish to compete as final team make up and grading needs to be submitted by Nov 26th.
Finally, I’d like to take this chance to thank John Dagn (President) for opening the club every week, John Riedl (Vice President) for stepping in while John is away, Phil Lennox (Treasurer) for looking after our finances, John Innes (Club Captain) for handling our competition entries and representing our club at all
the ARAA competitions, John Stewart (Range and Safety Officer) for taking time out of your own shooting to nurture our new members, Anton Kristensen (Statistician) and Phillip Angilley (Statistician) for recording our stats, and to all our other members who regularly attend and participate at the club.
Have a happy and safe Christmas!
Shooting will resume on 7th February 2012.
