Report from the Soccer Team

I mentioned in my last report, we had only one more game outstanding for this season, this being against the very competitive Vikings. As our last 2 meetings ended in a 5:5 draw and a 1:1 draw, I was quietly confident, due to our great performance during the whole of the year, a win this time around was achievable. I was right on the mark, we came out the winners. The result a very hard fought, very well executed game, a well deserved 2:1 win in our pocket. As usual with the Vikings, it was a very tough contest for the whole of the match.

We must not allow ourselves to be complacent when we meet them the next time around or we may find our self on the receiving end of a loss.

All in all we played 24 Games, won 15, Drew 4 and lost 5. The final combined goal score was 78:40 in our favor.

Top Goal scorers are:

Steven Green 13, Hansi Verhof 9, Rick Fraccaro 7, Len Sorbara 6, Don (Paul) Donnelli 6, Gianni Moringiou 6, Ingo Kumic 5, John Green 5.

To all the team I can only say this and say it from the bottom of my heart: well done boys, it was a wonderful season with excellent results, great team spirit, expertise, skill and camaraderie got you there!

Once again I am looking forward to coming back for the Sunday Masters Competition at the end of August, for the next summer season.

AC Golden oldies report

At our recently held AGM in the Austrian Club, the following were elected:
