Dear Players and Soccer fans.
Once more we come to the end of the Summer Competition and again we had a great time and a great team. We played 21 games this season, won 11, drew 5 and had only 5 losses. The Goal score was 76 for and 46 against. A very respectable outcome I am extremely proud of. I am also very happy with the standard and quality of our game in general, with the camaraderie an outstanding example for any team or any sport. Top Goal Scorers are: Steven Green 11, Gianni Moringiou 10, Hansi Verhoff 10. Unbelievable!!! Mambre 7, Martin 5, Collin 5, John 5, Peter 4, Len 3, Rick 3, Ashley 2, Nick 2, and 5 players 1 goal each. Well done everybody! Juana and I are leaving for an extensive European Holiday in early June and will be back just in time for the new Competition. The team will return for next summer and I am looking forward to see all of you again in the new Season commencing early September. AC GOLDEN OLDIES SOCCER
On Sunday 30th March we held our AGM, it was great to see the interest shown. The financial report was well received and accepted. The re-elected committee is: President: Joe Wendelberger Treasurer: John Vituseck Captain : Tom Hidas Auditor : Nandor Langyel A decision was made to have a B.B.Q. at the Club on Sunday 4th May. Our annual dance will be held on the 8th November under the theme "Irish Night". Details for our trip this year is still on the planning table. Welcome to our new member Emanuel, who not only presented himself but also presented the boys with new shirts, thank you Manny that was a good start.
