REPORT FROM THE "OVER THE HILLS BUSHWALKING GROUP"

On Sunday, 25/10/09, eight people did the walk from De Burghs Bridge to South Turramurra. We had just finished the walk before the rains came down.
We adjourned to a cafe for coffee and cake.

On Sunday, 29/11/09, 14 people came to our end-of-year walk at the Cumberland State Forest. After the walk we had a very nice BBQ lunch (thanks to all for contributing dips, cheeses, salads, cakes, etc).
We have 13 people booked this year for Thredbo. I will report on this trip in the
next “Kurier”.

On Sunday, 28/2/10, we will walk the Neverfail Gully Trail and Cooyong Track from Terrey Hills to St Ives. The walk is approx 5 KM. Meet near corner of Mona Vale Road & Myoora Road at 10:00 AM for car shuttle to Aumuna Road.
After the walk we will have lunch at Terrey Hills Tavern.

On Saturday, 27/3/10-Sunday, 28/3/10, we will have our weekend in the Blue Mountains. Last year we did the walk from Evans Lookout to Govetts Leap. This year we will continue that walk, going from Govetts Leap to Pulpit Rock
and return (about 3 KM each way). Meet on Saturday at 10:00 AM at the carpark at the end of Govetts Leap Road, Blackheath.

After the walk we will drive on to Hampton. Several rooms have been reserved at the Hampton Halfway House Hotel for the Saturday night. Accommodation costs $65 per double room and $50 per single room. If you do not wish to stay
overnight at Hampton you can still come for the walk and lunch, which should finish before 3 PM. If you do not wish to go on the bushwalk you can still come to the Hampton Halfway House Hotel for the night and go mushrooming with us on the Sunday morning.
