REPORT FROM THE "OVER THE HILLS BUSHWALKING GROUP"

On Saturday/Sunday, 29/30 March 2008, we had our annual weekend in the Blue Mountains.  We had 23 walkers to Nepean Lookout then 20 of the walkers did the Jack Evans Track (although only 13 made it all the way to Erskine Creek).  We had 21 people booked in at the Hampton Halfway House Hotel and, as usual, had a very enjoyable stay there.  We did manage to find some mushrooms this year.
 
On Sunday, 27/4/08, eight of us walked in the Ku-Ring-Gai Chase National Park, on the Elvina Bay Circuit, and afterwards most of the walkers went back to the club for afternoon tea.
 
On Sunday, 25/5/08, 15 people did the Jungo Walk and afterwards had a nice afternoon tea in a little café in Pennant Hills.
 
On Sunday, 29/6/08, we will walk from Neutral Bay to Taronga Zoo.  Meet at 10:00 AM near Taronga Zoo wharf, for car shuttle to Neutral Bay.  As I will again be away, Margaret is organising both the June & July walks.

On Sunday, 27/7/08, we will walk from the Sphinx monument to Bobbin Head along Cowan Creek. This is a 5 KM easy walk.  There will be a car shuttle so please meet at the Sphinx car park just inside the gates at North Turramurra at 10:00 AM. Those without passes can park outside and walk in.

On Sunday, 31/8/08, we will walk from Winnererremy Bay to Rowland Reserve & Church Point.  This is about 5 KM easy walk.  Meet at 10:00 AM at the parking area at Church Point, near the Pasadena.

The following couple of walks will be on Sundays 5/10/08 and 2/11/08.  On 30/11/08 we will have our end-of-year walk and lunch.  Please mark these dates in your diary now and keep them free so that you can join us on our walks.
