2007-2008 SEASON

Hi everybody,                                                                                 
The 42 weeks went quickly and we all battled through to the final competition on 16/07/08. Zorro came out winners in this series. Well played Ray Jensen, Siegmund Feye & John Dagn with 107 points. They were followed by the Challengers Ron Condon & Pat Dwyer in 2nd place, the Strikers  Elaine Haigh & Ian Wilson in 3rd place, and last but not least the A-team with Eileen Jensen & Hans Schlegelhofer. The series winners, Zorro took the last spot available on the trophy that is displayed at the club.

High series with Handicap for women was won by Pat Dwyer with 643 and high series with handicap for men won by Ian Wilson with 677. Congratulations to all winners.

                                                                                                           
A general meeting was held on 23/07/09 without any committee being formed due to the fact that 4 players would not be returning. It is with regret that Ray & I will no longer compete, nor will Ian Wilson & Ron Condon. This makes numbers too low for a viable series. It was decided that we may try to have a social game every 3 or 4 months. I will arrange the first one for November 2008. Our meeting was followed by a 9 No Tap. It was nice to see Erwin Ruppe back for a bowl following some medical problems. After fierce competition, the No Tap was won by Ian Wilson who scored 694 and his name is now on the perpetual trophy at the club. Our presentation luncheon was held on August 10th at the Austrian Club where we all enjoyed fine food & good cheer while trophies were presented. . So many people over the years have participated . Thank you to one & all for the comradery experienced. 

                                                                                              
The November social game will be held on Wednesday 12th 8pm at the Randwick Bowl. Come along to enjoy an evening of companionship and sport. Hope to see you there.
